Last night we made the trek from Los Angeles up north and ventured as leisurely as possible up the Pacific Coast Highway to land in what the locals like to call “SLO for the evening. Our good friend Jared Scott kindly offered to put us up for the evening and we could not resist the promise of pizza and some good hangs with one of our favorite West Coast dudes before calling it an early night.
We awoke in the morning with the promise of Big Sur’s unparalleled roads and vistas fresh on our minds. The ocean air chilled us to the bone as we made our first few turns into what could arguably be our favorite spot on earth. The vistas were bigger than we could have imagined, the roads more fun than we have had the entirety of the trip this far and we chose to take them at speed and even double back a few times just for kicks. It looks like San Francisco will have to wait until tomorrow. It’s camping in heaven for us tonight.
